On the Amazon site they have basic guides and tutorials for new sellers. These tutorials are helpful in showing you the basic set up processes, but they don’t provide the necessary details like choosing the right products that are selling well.
Amazon’s tutorials are created by Amazon employees, not by sellers. These tutorials are definitely useful, they’re not going to help you with sourcing items to sell, or how to get your listings in front of enough customers.
You can gather information by searching on Google and reading blog posts or google_search articles written by other sellers. But I've found after reading so many, Successful Amazon sellers are not going to reveal their secrets in a blog post for all the world to see, but you can certainly get some really useful snippets of information this way.
The Amazon seller forum is another useful place. This is where sellers will answer other sellers questions. It’s a good resource for when you’re already selling on Amazon and have a specific question. However, it’s definitely not the place to go in and ask questions like:
“I’m new here can somebody tell me how to start?”
Purchasing a training course put together by experienced sellers is another option. Often though, some courses have a high price tag, even in the $1000’s and therefore not accessible to everyone. On top of that, many courses promote ‘black-hat’ methods which do not work and worse, these methods will get your seller account suspended. The wrong information is worse than no information at all.
However I've found that Amazon training courses, with step-by-step blueprints on how to successfully sell on Amazon the right way, most are priced affordably for anyone who truly wants to succeed. Coaching on how to sell on Amazon for beginners, and for those who are already selling, but struggling.
These courses are delivered though video lessons in modules, PDF downloads and covers every step in detail, telling it exactly as it is – No fluff, no hype, just a practical guide to show you the way, one step at a time. You will also learn how to avoid the common pitfalls. The pitfalls that I myself (and many other new sellers) fell into when I first started selling on Amazon.

Whatever you decide to do as far as educating yourself on how to sell on Amazon, make sure you DO educate yourself and don’t go in blind. Merely hoping that your items will sell is not enough. It may have been enough 5 or 6 years ago, but the marketplace has changed and there is now much, much more competition.
That being said, there are also many, many more buyers, and more million dollar a year sellers being created than ever before. So providing you know what to do and how to do it, there’s no reason why you can’t take your share of the billions of dollars in sales being generated on Amazon.
